ES Windows Glass Railing Systems: The Boca Raton Owner’s Guide

We stock and install ES Windows-compatible glass railing panels, clamps, standoffs, and top rails here in Boca Raton, with most single-panel replacements running between $420 and $780 installed depending on glass thickness, hardware finish, and whether the post is reusable. Most owners discover a problem the same way: a panel that’s gone cloudy at the edges, a clamp that’s worked loose after a few years of salt air, or a railing that’s started to rattle when someone leans against it. You don’t need a full railing rebuild for that. You need the right part, matched to the right ES Windows series, set square and sealed so it holds through the next ten hurricane seasons.

Call (561) 264-1337

We’re an independent service provider, not affiliated with ES Windows, but we’ve been matching their glass railing components for years, and we keep the most common failure parts on the truck in Boca Raton.

  • Single-panel glass replacement: $420-$780 installed
  • Clamp or standoff replacement (per fitting): $35-$90 installed
  • Top rail cap replacement (per linear foot): $28-$55 installed
  • Full system inspection with written report: $89 (applied toward repair if we do the work that day)

Which ES Windows Models This Applies To

ES Windows builds glass railing systems primarily for their frameless and semi-frameless exterior lines, and the parts are not interchangeable across every series. Their earlier aluminum clamps used a 10mm tempered panel; the newer stainless systems we see in Palm Beach County are spec’d for 12mm and sometimes 15mm glass, depending on wind load calculations for the specific exposure. That’s the compatibility gotcha: a 10mm panel will fit loosely in a 12mm clamp, and it will chatter in the wind until the glass eventually spalls at the clamp point. We measure the glass thickness with a micrometer before we quote anything, because we’ve seen too many railings where someone guessed and the panel was never actually held.

If you still have the original paperwork, the series code is printed on the first page. If you don’t, look at the clamp body: ES Windows stamps a three-digit series reference on the underside of most aluminum hardware from 2016 onward. OEM parts are fine when the series is still in production. For series that ES Windows has retired, we source a machined 316 stainless equivalent that matches the footprint exactly, and we’ll tell you which one you’re getting and why before we install it.

Signs Your ES Windows Glass Railing Systems Is Failing

  • Clouding or white haze along the glass edges near a clamp. That’s delamination, the first stage of tempered glass failure. Salt air in Boca Raton accelerates it, and once it starts, the panel’s structural integrity is compromised. It needs replacement before the next storm season, not after.
  • A railing section that moves when you push against it. The clamp has lost tension, usually because the rubber gasket has compressed or degraded. Left alone, the glass will run against the aluminum and start spalling. A retorque won’t fix a dead gasket.
  • Corrosion staining on the clamp or standoff body. This is common on older ES Windows aluminum hardware in coastal Boca Raton neighborhoods like Boca Teeca or anything east of Dixie Highway. Powder-coat aluminum holds up for a few years, but once pinholes develop, the corrosion is active. We replace with 316 stainless, not aluminum.
  • Water collecting at the base of a glass panel. The setting block or shim has failed, and the panel is now sitting in standing water every time it rains. The panel is fine until it isn’t, and then it shatters at the bottom edge without warning.
  • Cracks radiating from any drilled hole or clamp point. This is the urgent one. Even a small crack at a mounting point is a total panel failure waiting to happen. Don’t lean on it, don’t let a grandchild near it, and call us. We’ll come measure and replace it with the panel out of the wind load equation entirely.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Most ES Windows glass railing replacements in Boca Raton run between $420 and $780 per panel installed. The range depends on three things: glass thickness (10mm costs less than 12mm or 15mm), hardware style (surface-mount clamps are faster to swap than core-drilled standoffs), and whether the original post or shoe is reusable. If the post base is sound, you’re paying for the panel, the hardware set, and our labor. If the post is corroded through, you’ll add $90-$160 for a new one, and we’ll show you the line item on paper before we start.

Our quote includes removal of the failed panel, disposal of the old glass, the new tempered panel cut to spec, the correct hardware for your series, and a square-set installation that gets checked with a level at both posts before we call it done. Every job carries our Done Right Promise, which means if it’s not right, we make it right. No paperwork, no arguing.

DIY or Call Us?

There’s one safe thing you can check yourself: whether the clamp screws have worked loose. A snug with a hex key is fine. But here’s where DIY goes wrong: tempered glass railing panels are under constant tension at the clamp points, and a panel that’s been in Boca Raton salt air for six or seven years has micro-fractures you won’t see until the moment the glass drops. We’ve had calls where a homeowner loosened three clamps, the panel shifted, and the tempered glass turned to gravel on the pool deck. If the glass needs to come out, we’d rather do it with proper lifters and gloves, and we’d rather you call (561) 264-1337 before the panel ends up in pieces.

What Neighbors Say About TruePane Windows & Doors

★★★★★

"Impact windows on the whole house. They handled the permit, the inspection, and gave me a folder with every approval number for the insurance company. My windstorm premium dropped enough to notice."

BBill T.
★★★★★

"Our bay window had rotted at the sill and two other outfits wanted to talk us into a flat picture window instead. TruePane rebuilt the opening and matched the original look. Neighbors have knocked on the door about it."

GGene A.
★★★★★

"French doors to the patio, custom size because this house was built in 1961 and nothing is standard. Measured twice, three weeks to fabricate like they warned, and the install day they laid runners over my floors without being asked."

MMarie S.
★★★★★

"A casement crank had stripped and the sash was swollen shut. The technician, Ray, fixed the crank on the spot and only then talked about replacement for the three windows that were genuinely done. That is why the whole street uses them now."

EEleanor G.
★★★★★

"Eleven windows replaced in two days. The crew chief, Marcus, showed me the level on every single frame before they caulked it. My wife noticed the street noise was gone before I did."

RRonald P.
★★★★

"Energy bill was the reason we called. They did not oversell - said the two worst walls of windows would do most of the work and we could stop there. Did those eight with the Low-E glass. August electric bill tells the story."

HHarold W.
★★★★

"Sliding door had been dragging for years. They quoted a repair first, said the track was shot, then priced the replacement both ways on paper. No pressure either direction. Door glides with one finger now."

CCarol M.
★★★★

"Quote was the price, which after three other bids that grew legs was worth something. Double-hungs went in clean, they hauled the old ones, and the registration paperwork for the warranty came in the mail like they said."
